A collection of fun activities for little hands!

Glitter Ghosts

on October 17, 2012

Halloween is just around the corner so at our house we’ve been busy creating some “scary” crafts!  This is a fun and easy one.  Here’s what you need

Wax Paper

White School Glue

Glitter

Googly eyes (we ran out so I used a marker to draw them on, doesn’t look as good though)

Fishing Wire

Give each child a piece of wax paper.  On the wax paper have them outline and begin to fill inside the lines a ghost shape.  Since it’s hard to make one solid shape of glue when squeezing it out of the bottle I then let them use their finger to spread the glue all over the ghost, making sure the entire ghost is filled in with a thin layer of glue when they’re done.  Sprinkle the entire ghost with glitter and then place the eyes and a piece of fishing wire at the top by the head (this is for hanging later).  Let this dry over night.  The next day carefully shake the excess glitter off and then peel your ghost off the wax paper and he’s ready for hanging!  Happy Halloween!!
